NORTHRIDGE - An autopsy was pending Sunday for someone fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Northridge.
The person, whose name and gender was unavailable, died near a grade crossing in the 9000 block of Corbin Avenue about at 9:05 p.m., authorities said.
Sheriff's deputies with the department's transit bureau are investigating the death. It was unclear if detective found any witnesses, or if the death was an accident or suicide.
