Flour power? Ashley Judd can't hide over-powdered face

Ashley Judd seemed to have no idea her face was covered in powder during a book signing.

Ashley Judd seemed to have no idea her face was covered in powder during a book signing.

The camera doesn't lie, but Ashley Judd probably wishes it did after photos from her Manhattan book signing on Wednesday revealed her less-than-perfect face.

The actress, who was promoting her new memoir "All That Is Bitter And Sweet" at a Fifth Ave. Barnes & Noble, posed for dozens of pictures with loose powder underneath her eyes and on the bridge of her nose.

Judd's makeup faux pas is actually a common mishap for celebrities, who try to doll up their faces while minimizing shine at the same time.

If the powder isn't blended well, the flash of the camera will only make the mistake that much clearer in photos.

Uma Thurman infamously made the blunder last fall, when she unwittingly spoke at the City University of New York's 40th Annual Gala with powder on her eyes, nose and even the outline of her face. Even Keith Urban went overboard with powder during the People's Choice Awards in March - only months before wife Nicole Kidman did the same at the "Nine" premiere in New York.
