2011 Empire Awards Celebrated Best In Film

The Empire Awards were held at Grovesner House in London last night, honoring the top films and actors of the year. Christopher Nolan?s Inception took home Best Film, while Kick-Ass took home Best British Film. Young Chloe Moretz?s foul mouth in the action flick earned her a Best Newcomer award, and Mark Darcy Colin Firth continued his winning streak with a Best Actor score for The King?s Speech.

Ever the charming bloke, Firth didn?t bother to thank everyone at his King?s Speech table because?there wasn?t a King?s Speech table. Instead, he thank some new friends. ?I?m with my new friends at the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy table, which I haven?t seen yet but I?m sure it will be a masterpiece,? he proclaimed.

The Empire Awards are held by Empire, one of the U.K.?s top film magazines.
