Sylvester Stallone is getting into the fashion ring.

The 64-year-old actor's manly lifestyle brand Sly Inc. will consist of clothing, eyewear, fragrance, eyewear and accessories, all inspired by the characters he made famous: Rocky and Rambo, Women's Wear Daily reported.

"Rocky at the end of the day is a love story," Michael Henry, a retail executive who is backing the brand, told Women's Wear Daily. "While Rambo showcases the other side of masculinity, he's a loner...the line will offer looks for "the rebel and the gentleman."

Stallone said he has been working with tailors and new materials to come up with a line of apparel that will be worthy of the name Stallone.

The line will be "a little premium," according to Henry, but will be available at stores like Macy's that will cater to the "guy's guy."

Stallone said that he'd been offered the chance to share his fashion sensibility with the world before, but it didn't seem like the right time. He told Men's Week that he even turned down the chance to work with Hugo Boss a few years ago.

"I wasn't ready and I didn't know enough at that time," he said. "I thought it would be perceived as a money play or an endorsement ploy."

Now, he's ready to help his fellow man dress with style and skill. Especially men in his age group.

"I want clothing that will be appropriate to my generation," said the actor, "or the generation before."

Stallone is still a hardworking action star despite his being nearly eligible for Medicare. A sequel to the smash 2010 hit "The Expendables" is due out in 2012.

Henry believes that Stallone's ability to remain a star during the course of five decades will make his line a rarity among the countless celebrity brands.

"Stallone' means a good guy," Henry told Women's Wear Daily. "He stands up for what's right and he's masculine ? we see Sylvester Stallone as a cultural icon. He has the ability to take classic looks, update them and make them cool."
