IRVINE - A 21-year-old woman from Irvine was killed and an 18-year-old woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Irvine early today.
The crash at Turtle Rock Community Park, near Sunnyhill and Shady Canyon, happened at about 1 a.m., Irvine police Sgt. Mike Meyers said.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, Meyers said. The other woman, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a hospital.
It was unclear what caused the crash.
The 18-year-old passenger was standing outside the vehicle when paramedics arrived at the scene, a videographer from Focal Point said.
