White Stripes singer Jack White and British model Karen Elson are splitting after six years of marriage?and celebrating with a party?
The singer and model are having a party to celebrate their divorce.� Strange huh?
White, 35, and Elson, 32, sent out email invitations to their friends and family today.
?We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children,? their e-vite stated.
Jack and Karen met on the set of a White Stripes video and married on a canoe in the Amazon River in Brazil in 2005.� They have a daughter Scarlett, 5, and son Henry, 3.
?We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow,? the couple said in the email.
?In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party.� An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.?
It seems a bit weird, but guess it?s good their split is amicable!
